The staff was helpful and accomodating. The interior courtyard provided a pleasant and convenient place for meeting with fellow travelers.
The rooms and bathrooms were somewhat antiquated and often small. The locations was further away from the main square than we had expected.

The hotel staff is very friendly, and they go out of their way to help you.
The area is a bit far from the city center. In addition, the area looks very rough, I don't recommend to walk around that area at night; just take a taxi for three soles to the main plaza. Furthermore, our room was next to a noisy street, which made it hard to fall asleep (kids playing and screaming until late at night, loud cars all night long, etc).

We enjoyed that the room was a decent size, and there was always hot water which was advertised.
The walls are relatively thin, and all the rooms face the inside, which makes it quite loud in the mornings when everybody is getting up and eating breakfast.

Staff spoke little English but they were very friendly. My friend and I didn't stay overnight but they offered a free room while we waited for our Machu Picchu translator/travel agent. Booking the trip through Cusi Wasi was a sound choice. Karen was an exceptional travel agent!!
I preferred more English speaking staff. It's not within walking distance of sight-seeing. It would also been nice to be able to reserve the room at the same price instead of going through Booked.net. Not much else I didn't like about Cusi Wasi.
